Avatar Cabernet Sauvignon Argentina – Mendoza – Agrelo - Lujan de Cuyo – Normally $15.99 - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1862, Casir dos Santos is one of the oldest wineries still operating in Argentina. The winery produces wine from the Uco Valley, Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu. Their Lujan de Cuyo vineyard, in Argentina’s oldest viticultural area, is at 3,100 feet above sea level.

 

Vibrant red color with glints of Bordeaux. Great aromatic intensity. The spiciness of the nose is echoed on the palate and combines well with juicy red fruit flavors. It expresses in a very fresh way, with red fruits, sweet tannins and balanced acidity. Enjoy with soft cheeses, salads, grilled meats & vegetables.

 

Toza Monastrell Jumilla Spain – Castilla-La Mancha - Jumilla Normally $17.49 - 100% Monastrell. Bodegas San Dionisio is a small production (3,000 kilos per hectare) and a slow ripening process (the most common variety – Monastrell – is harvested at the end of September and all of October) that produces very complex wines with a strong personality, high concentration of aromas and polyphenols.

 

Toza is a classic example of the Monastrell variety from the Mediterranean region. Clean, bright cherry red color. It is bold with intense fresh red fruits and varietal aromas on the nose. Aged in oak barrels, this Spanish red is rich, toasty, round and velvety. Enjoy with White meats, pastas, rice, dishes and stews

These handpicked Reserva wines are born out of a strong desire to offer the very best expressions of terroir from our El Crucero vineyard, located at 360 meters above sea level. These carefully handpicked grapes deliver superb varietal characteristics and exceptionally well-balanced fruit concentration. The manual harvest behind our handpicked Reserva Wines, a stage prior to a second triage, highlights their commitment to delivering uniquely hancrafted wines from Curico Valley.

 

The handpicked Reserva Sauvignon Blanc, unoaked and of a pale yellow color, delivers enticing tropical fruit and citrus aromas, a beautifully balanced palate with pleasing acidity and a soft persistent finish.Perfect for all-day sipping, pleasing a crowd, or relaxing after work. Enjoy as an appetizer, with seafood, fish and pasta.

 

LE JADE VIOGNIER Les Costières de Pomérols France – Languedoc-Roussillon – Côtes de Thau IGP. Normally $17.49 100% Viognier. The wine comes from sun-drenched vineyards planted on the best terroir - specially selected for its physical and geographical characteristics - on clay and limestone hillsides called "costières" (coastal region). The vineyards are only a few miles away from the Etang de Thau, a coastal lagoon that is situated between the port of Sète and Marseillan.

 

Grapes at picked at night at slightly advanced maturity. The color is a wonderful brilliant yellow with pearl tints. Intense and seductive aromas of ripe fruits, especially apricot, and floral notes with a hint of rose petals. The texture is very harmonious, generous, round and long. The finish is long and balanced with a good freshness.

 

Perfect as an aperitif, or great with richer dishes like langoustines, smoked or marinated salmon. Serve it also with a broccoli and Roquefort soup or for dessert with a mango and pineapple tarte Tatin.

CUEVA DE LA MANOS MALBEC Organic Chakana Winery Argentina – Mendoza – Lujan de Cuyo– Normally $17.99 -100% Malbec. Chakana Winery is located 3,149 feet above sea level at the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Agrelo, Mendoza. It is one of the leading projects among the new generation of winemakers dedicated to the discovery and expression of the Andean diversity of climate and soils. Chakana, who is certified biodynamic, owns 193 hectares of vineyards, spread across sites in Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco.

 

Cueva de las Manos translates to "Cave of Hands". There are a series of caves in Patagonia containing stenciled paintings of hands, dating back over 9,000 years ago. The caves have been named a World Heritage Site, and they are the inspiration for the label on these wines. Cueva de las Manos Malbec is deep purple in color. Fruity intensity on the nose with floral notes. A juicy texture, mild tannins and good structure balanced by a well-integrated freshness. Clean and pure finish.

 

CHARLES THOMAS Côtes du Rhône Rouge France – Rhône Valley – Côtes du Rhône AOC – Normally $17.99 - 65% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Marselan. The Côtes du Rhône wines are produced at Clos des Miran, located in the plains of Mas Conil, near the village Pont Saint Esprit in the Gard district. The property is located on a hillside of very deep loamy and sandy soil, and the land is tilled with horse-drawn plows to preserve its essential qualities. The estate is certified organic in France since the 2014 vintage

 

Clear ruby color with overtones of red berry fruit. Ripe cherry, plum, spicy herbs and earthy notes combine nicely in the medium-bodied CDR. Easy drinking with a smooth aftertaste. A good all-round red wine for meat courses, poultry and light cheeses. Best drunk now while fresh with good keeping up to 4 years.

Wolfberger Alsace Edelzwicker Wolfberger France – Alsace. Normally $25.49 - 40 % Pinot Blanc, 30% Riesling, 15% Gewurztraminer and 15 % Muscat. Edelzwicker is a reminder of an old tradition of blending noble grapes. Nowadays each grape variety is harvested individually on the most suitable date for each vineyard. The musts are fermented slowly under temperature control. A typical blend consists of 2/3 lighter styles of wine such as Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc and 1/3 fruitier varieties such as Riesling, Muscat or Gewurztraminer.

 

Edelzwicker shows a pale yellow color with green highlights. The nose is expressive and offers fruity aromas of pear, white peach, lemon zest and floral notes. The palate is fresh and crip with citrus flavors. It is round and easy drinking with a clean finish.

 

In Alsace it is served by the glass or in large jugs to partner regional specialties. In general Edelzwicker goes well with fresh salads, cold or warm starters, but also with oysters, mussels and seafood, pork meats, pies and fromage frais. It should always be served chilled.

Le Blanc du Chateau des Landes Bordeaux Blanc - Vignobles Lassagne - France - Bordeaux - Bordeaux– Normally $22.99 - 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Semillon. Le Blanc du Chateau des Landes Bordeaux Blanc is a very fruity style of Bordeaux Blanc AOC. It has great aromatic intensity with white peach and citrus aromas.

 

The first vintage of this wine was made in 2018. Nicolas Lassagne wanted to create an easy drinking wine that would be perfect as an aperitif in the summertime, or to compliment salads and seafood in the winter. Excellent as an aperitif. It also goes very well with poultry and salads, and it is excellent with fresh oysters.
