Grace Town Old Vine Zinfandel Lodi - Grace Town Wines - United States - California – Lodi - 90% Old Vine Zinfandel + 10% Petite Sirah. . Normally $17.99. Zinfandel was one of the first grape varieties to be planted in the area during the California Gold Rush, therefore it holds a special place in Lodi’s history as a winegrowing region. The vines are naturally low-yielding due to their age, and they consistently produce high quality fruit. The wine is ruby red in color with toasty aromas; smoke and vanilla flavors. Classic Lodi Zinfandel notes of plum and ripe fruit. Some richness and a moderately long finish. Enjoy this wine with grilled vegetables, grilled steak, baby back ribs, Gruyere and Gorgonzola cheeses.

Hugl Gemischter Satz Hugl-Wimmer Austria – Weinviertel - 50% Grüner Veltliner, 40% Gelber Muskateller and 10% Riesling. Normally $15.99. "Gemischter Satz" has a long history in Austria. It is a field blend where different grape varieties are picked at the same time and vinified together. In Vienna, the tradition of planting different and complementary grape varieties together in a vineyard – then harvesting and fermenting them together as well – has survived to the present day as Gemischter Satz. Thanks to the dynamic efforts of ambitious winegrowers, this traditional rarity has grown in stature and recognition to become the calling card of viticulture in Austria’s capital city.

Gemischter Satz is very popular in Vienna’s Heurigen (the Viennese term for wine taverns). Historically, Heurigen were simple places, where vineyard owners would open their doors during wine season to serve glasses of this years wine and juices to guests. At most, a plate of cold meats and cheese could be served along with the delicious wine.

Montebuena Rioja Blanco. Cosecheros de Labastida ( Montebuena ). Spain - La Rioja – Rioja - 80% Viura and 20% Tempranillo Blanco. Normally $16.49. What truly sets Montebuena apart is its unique position where the Ebro river is closest to the Sierra Cantabria mountains, creating a blend of Mediterranean and Continental climates that prevents an excess of rain and extreme cold. In addition, the shallow, calcareous soil limits the yield of the harvest and the size of the grapes while increasing the volume of the skins, resulting in deeper color and a greater concentration of flavor.

Montebuena Blanco is straw yellow colored, translucent with greyish hues at the edges. Dominant white fruit aromas of apple and ripe banana on the nose with citrus notes in the background. Fresh and intense on the palate, although the acidity gradually smoothes out as the wine passes through the mouth and gives way to sweetness combined with a slightly bitter note and silky feel that balances the first sensation. Fresh salads and vegetables, grilled fish, young cheeses, seafood and shellfish.
