Tres Ojos Garnacha Calatayud Bodega San Gregorio ( Tres Ojos ) Spain - Aragon – Calatayud – Normally $12.99 - 85% Old Vine Garnacha and 15% Tempranillo. Our Tres Ojos – “three eyes” – is named after an ancient walking bridge in the city of Calatayud. The bridge’s three arches earned it the nickname ‘tres ojos’.
This Garnacha is whole berry fermented, like a Cotes du Rhone Rouge. It displays a brick red color with a bouquet of red raspberries, spice and white pepper. The palate is incredibly concentrated and rich cherry and floral aromas show very good clarity and take on a hint of earthiness as the wine opens up. Fruity and juicy with a great depth, ripe tannins and length, yet wonderful elegance and lightness. Enjoy with sausages, grilled or roasted meats, aged cheeses.

An exciting New World style wine with upfront blackcurrant flavors. Bright dark garnet black color. Fruity, smoky aromas and flavors of grilled berries, marinated cucumbers, mixed peppercorns, and caraway with a silky, vibrant, fruity medium body and a tingling, appealing, breezy toffee, toasted cedar, and earth finish with chewy, fine, coating tannins and light oak. A smoky, crunchy cabernet with ample tannins. The black fruit is well-balanced with subtle French oak for a complex nose and an elegant and lingering follow-through. A yellow color with green highlights, fresh and fruity aromas of pear and apple. Citrus and tropical fruit flavors, smooth and soft on the palate, well structured and complex.
